If earphone's wire is broken, is it in warranty?

Hi All,

I have bought my device 3 months back. After some days I found my earphone's wire is broken. I visited to services too but they deny to replace it.

My question is if the wire is broken, is it in warranty?

iPhone 6, iOS 9.3.2

if it was broken not because of user handling yes

The warranty only covers a manufacturing defect not misuse or mishandling by the user

Sounds like "service "sees it as user damage rather than a defective product
